Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the 62nd BMA Special (Signals/EME/AEC) and 55th BMA Special (RV&FC) courses as Officer Cadets.

Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply (depending on the course). The online application period will run from 28 July 2026 to 24 August 2026.

Signals Corps

Gender: Male

Academic Requirements

  • SSC & HSC: Minimum GPA 4.50 in both examinations (National Curriculum). Equivalent grades apply for English-medium candidates.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: B.Sc. Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE/EECE), or Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.

Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) Corps

Gender: Male

Academic Requirements

  • SSC & HSC: Minimum GPA 4.50 in both examinations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), or EECE from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.

Army Education Corps (AEC)

Gender: Male & Female

Academic Requirements

  • SSC & HSC: Minimum GPA 4.00 in both examinations.
  • Bachelor’s (Honours): Minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.00
  • Master’s Degree: Minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.00 in the relevant discipline.

Remount Veterinary and Farm Corps (RV&FC)

Gender: Male

Academic Requirements

  • SSC & HSC: Minimum GPA 4.00 in both examinations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: B.Sc. Vet. Sci. & A.H., DVM, or B.Sc. AH (Hons) from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.

Additional Requirement

  • Candidates must have completed their internship.

Disqualification Criteria

Applicants will be considered ineligible if they:

  • Have been dismissed, discharged, or voluntarily resigned from the Army, Navy, Air Force, or any government service/training program.
  • Have been screened out or rejected twice by the ISSB. Candidates rejected twice more than five years ago may apply.
  • Have been convicted of any criminal offense by a court.
  • Have been declared medically unfit by the Armed Forces Appeal Medical Board.
  • Have myopia or hyperopia exceeding 2.5 diopters, or astigmatism exceeding 1.0 diopter in either eye.
  • Underwent LASIK surgery before turning 18 years old, or if less than three months have passed between the surgery and the eye examination.
  • Hold dual citizenship or permanent residency in a country other than Bangladesh.
  • Provide false or misleading information at any stage of the recruitment process. Legal action may be taken against such candidates.

Selection Process & Examinations

Written Examination

Candidates will sit for a 100-mark written examination covering professional subjects and general knowledge.

  • Date: Friday, 28 August 2026
  • Time: 9:00 AM
  • Venue: Shaheed Bir Bikram Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School, Dhaka Cantonment

Applicants must bring a printed copy of their Call-up Letter and the original National Identity Card (NID) to the examination. The results will be published on the official website and sent via SMS in September 2026.


Preliminary Medical & Viva Voce Examination

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will attend the Preliminary Medical and Oral (Viva) Examination from 11 October to 15 October 2026 at AFMI, Dhaka Cantonment.

Applicants must bring:

  • Original copies of all academic certificates and mark sheets
  • Printed Call-up Letter

ISSB Assessment

Candidates who successfully pass the written and oral examinations will be required to appear before the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) at Dhaka Cantonment on the scheduled date.

The ISSB assessment will be conducted over four days.


Final Selection & Joining Letter

Candidates who successfully complete all stages of the recruitment process will be selected based on merit. The Army Headquarters will publish the final selection list and issue Joining Letters to the successful candidates.


Training, Commission & Benefits

Training

Candidates who are declared qualified by the ISSB, pass the required medical examinations, and receive final approval from the Army Headquarters must undergo one year of training at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA).

Commission & Rank

Upon successful completion of the training, candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Bangladesh Army in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Salary & Allowances

Officer Cadets will receive salary and allowances according to the Government-approved Armed Forces pay scale. After commissioning, officers will receive the applicable salary, allowances, and other benefits provided to commissioned officers.

Accommodation

Officers will be provided with accommodation in a secure and pleasant environment, subject to eligibility and entitlement.

Medical Facilities

LASIK surgery is not acceptable if it was performed before the age of 18. Additionally, there must be a minimum interval of three months between the date of LASIK surgery and the official eye examination.
